New Dell Display Concept

Ces Dell 22Concept-1Found this one out there in the wild. Apparently, Dell might be cooking up (its a concept for now actually) a 22′ “ultra flat” display. It has a glass panel (after putting a glassed-top desk together this weekend, this thing must be heavy) has built in speakers, and a camera/microphne. Its doesn’t look like anything Apple would design but it looks pretty cool for a Dell product and would look really cool on my desk. The resolution would be 1900 x1200. Nice I’m wondering when these babies are going into production? They kind of remind me of the the monitors at Shuttle PC except those only come in 17″. I’m thinking that this monitor would really rock with some movies and any OS you might throw at it.

Girly laptop covers

I don’t currently own a laptop of any kind but is considering at some point getting a Mac Book Pro in the distant future funds permitting. Assuming that I get one, I’m the type that like to customize my stuff and I came across some interesting accessories that you can add to make your laptop one of a kind. One such product are Skyns’ girly laptop covers. These glorified stickers (described as “durable plastic/adhesive laptop covers”) can add some color to your laptop. The sticker thingie range from $35-$40 and you can even get a monogramed one. They have more than a few size choices for iBooks, PowerBooks or MacBook Pros. If you are not into th sticker shock then Colorware allows you to paint your laptop in nice shiny colors. You can go a step further and just get your laptop etched if you prefer that type of thing. I find that the sticker thing is the cheapest option and it looks pretty cool to me. Wish they had a few more patterns though. Happy customizing!
